    Babies this age:
  • need iron-rich foods starting at 6 months old. 
  • should start eating food but still need breastmilk or formula, too.
  • should be able to feed themselves finger foods.

Feeding your child can be a challenge. Here are some resources to help.

  • should be eating food with the family

  • should continue breastfeeding or have 2 cups of cow's milk daily

  • can attend a free healthy toddler assessment at NB Public Health
